Rosy Light |
Description |
Though more commonly associated with impressionist landscape, artist George Renouard also experimented with the subject of still life. This work exhibits the loose brushstrokes and strong contrasts of light and shadow that are commonly associated with impressionism, though the palette is distinctly dark. Several pieces of fine decorative china and a small statue rest upon a table, backed by drapery of a pink or purple shade. |
