Stereoview card of the Dry Dock Savings Bank Building, designed by Leopold Eidlitz and erected in 1875, which once stood at 343-344 Bowery, at the corner of East 3rd Street in New York, NY. The Gothic Revival building was originally home to the Dry Dock Savings Bank, the company name adorning the facade. Decorative images appear at the front margins of the card, reading "America Illustrated, Stereographs of New York City. " The stereoview was published by George W. Thorne of New York and features a list of New York City sites on the verso. |
