Stereoview photograph of the E.V. Haughwout building in New York City, which was designed by John P. Gaynor with iron work by Daniel Badger's Architectural Iron Works. The Haughwout Building (misidentified on this view as Haughworth), is located at the Northeast corner of Broadway and Broome Street in New York City. It was one of the earliest buildings to be supported by a structural metal frame. The stereoview shows the Broadway facade of the building, and was published by E. & H. T. Anthony & Co. |

The cast iron facades of the building were forged by the Architectural Iron Works of Daniel D. Badger (1806-1884), who is interred at Green-Wood (Lot 18873, Sec. 103). Edward Anthony (1819-1888), of E. & H. T. Anthony & Co., publishers of this stereoview, is also interred at Green-Wood (Lot 9989, Sec. 160). |
