Stereoview photograph of the monument to Civil War veteran Abraham S. Vosburgh in The Green-Wood Cemetery. Photographer and publisher unknown. The photograph shows a view of the Vosburgh monument on Battle Hill, which was erected by members of the 71st Regiment and sculpted by Patrizio Piatti. The large white marble column is topped with an eagle taking flight and inscribed "Pro Patria," meaning "For Country." Signs are visible for Mulberry Avenue and Warrior Path. The Goldsmith monument is also visible. |
